Requesting An Audiance With Your Organization In Iran -- Halaal By* Digital Ecosystem

Subject:Mohsen Banan Requesting An Audiance With Your Organization In Iran – Halaal By* Digital Ecosystem

Dear Iranian Colleague,

I have been working on two topics that are likely of general interest to those concerned with communication and computing in Iran.

The titles that I use for these topics are:

  1. Persian Input Methods
  2. The Halaal By* Digital Ecosystem

The first topic is narrow in scope and tactical. The second topic is broad and strategic. The analytical and usage context for both of these is non-technical and wide. The topics are presented in broad terms for all Iranian computer and Internet engineers and users.

Shortly after this note, I’ll be sending you 3 separate emails.

The first two are related to Persian Input Methods.

The subject line of the first email following this will be:
PersoArabic With Emacs – نگارش به فارسی با ایمکس

The subject line of the second email will be:
شیوه‌هایِ درج به فارسی

The third email following these will be an overview of:

The Halaal/Libre ByStar Digital Ecosystem
A Moral Alternative To The Proprietary American Digital Ecosystem
http://www.persoarabic.org/PLPC/180016

We believe that ByStar’s framework for halaal manner-of-existence of software and Internet services and ByStar’s framework for the entirety of the halaal/libre digital ecosystem can contribute to formulation of Iranian national policy towards software and internet services.

As a first step, I ask you to review these and give me your critique. If you think our work has merit, I also ask you to help us in spreading the word. Please feel welcome to further distribute this note where appropriate.

I’ll be in Iran from October 18, 2012 through November 20 and would very much welcome the opportunity to meet with you to further discuss these. If you consider these topics of group interest in your organization, please provide me the audiance and I’ll be happy to present the topics. The presentations will be primarily in form of demonstrating usage of the software and internet services. The entirety of the software and services are halaal/libre/free/open-source software and I’d also be happy to work with you towards deploying it in your organization.

My contact information (including my mobile number in Iran) is included below.

Please let me know what days and times work best for you. I would very much like to hear your feedback and I’d be happy to further discuss the aspects that are of specific interest to you.

Thanks and Regards,
